This Endowment is intended for the support of Respiratory Health services provided by St. Peter's Hospital. To that end, disbursements may be used for: subsidizing direct outpatient respiratory health services such as Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation; subsidizing inpatient Respiratory Therapy; providing funds for respiratory health equipment; supporting staff education and integration of all inpatient and outpatient respiratory services.

Established by Greg Strizich to honor the memory and legacy of his sister, Theresa Marie Strizich.     The permanent endowment fund, The Theresa Marie Strizich Endowed Scholarship for Cancer Care, will provide annual scholarship support, in perpetuity, to St. Peter’s Health staff, enabling them to pursue advanced training, certifications, and continuing education focused on oncology care and treatment.The Theresa Marie Strizich Endowed Scholarship for Cancer Care stands as a lasting tribute to a remarkable woman whose life was defined by compassion, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to education and healthcare. Theresa Strizich, a gifted healthcare specialist, dedicated her life to advancing medical knowledge and supporting the next generation of professionals in oral and maxillofacial surgery.---Born and raised in Helena, Montana, Theresa was the beloved daughter of Dr. John and Eileen Strizich. As the second of eight children in a close-knit Italian Catholic family, she grew up surrounded by love, discipline, and a deep respect for learning and service. Her upbringing in a medical household instilled in her a profound appreciation for the healing professions and the transformative power of education.Theresa pursued her academic goals with passion and distinction, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees with honors. Her love of learning and her drive for perfection led her to a distinguished career in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She worked as a specialized surgical assistant at Swedish and Northwest Hospitals in Seattle, Washington, where her precision, skill, and dedication earned her the respect of colleagues and students alike.In addition to her clinical work, Theresa played a vital role in medical education, building surgical models and teaching students at the University of Washington. Her ability to combine technical expertise with compassionate mentorship made her an invaluable contributor to the field.Theresa was known for her independence, humor, and fierce determination. She approached life with grace and grit, and her legacy continues to inspire those who knew her. She passed away in June 2022 at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.The Theresa Marie Strizich Endowed Scholarship for Cancer Care honors her memory and legacy by supporting educational opportunities for future healthcare professionals, ensuring her spirit of excellence, service and life-long learning lives on.  Establishing a scholarship fund to support oncology education for St. Peter’s Health staff is a powerful way to invest in the future of cancer care in Helena and the surrounding communities. This endowed fund is to help improve the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients living with mental and behavioral health disease and disorders. The endowed FUND may be used to support the design, implementation and/or continuation of mental and behavioral health services and programs, to include educational programs that help remove the stigma of mental health disease. This FUND may also be used to educate and train St. Peter’s Health staff providing mental and behavioral health care to include scholarships for employees pursuing a degree, certification or advanced skills training.
