Darryl Rensmon was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. After leaving the state for school and work early in adulthood, he and his wife Jamie eventually returned to Montana, settling first in Billings before a career opportunity brought them to Helena. Darryl has held leadership roles in operations, technology, innovation and community banking throughout his career.​

 

He currently serves as President of Opportunity Bank of Montana, helping lead one of Montana's largest community banks. In this role, he leads the execution of the bank's strategic priorities and oversees day-to-day operations across its statewide network of branches and business lines. Throughout his career, he has valued working for organizations that prioritize community involvement and giving back.

Outside of work, Darryl enjoys golfing, spending time at the family cabin on Holter Lake, and being with family and friends. He and Jamie have two grown children. Their son lives in Helena with his fiancée, while their daughter lives in Great Falls with her husband and two sons.

Community service has remained an important part of Darryl’s personal and professional life. He has served on several boards and organizations, including the MSU Billings Alumni Association, MSU Billings Foundation, Helena Babe Ruth Baseball, Helena Girls Softball Association, and the Capital High Booster Board. He also spent 13 years coaching softball at Capital High School.

A graduate of Leadership Montana, Darryl has been inspired by the many individuals across the state working to strengthen Montana communities. Joining the St. Peter’s Health Foundation Board reflects his commitment to supporting exceptional healthcare close to home and helping St. Peter’s Health continue to grow and meet the needs of Helena and the surrounding region.

His connection to healthcare is also personal. His mother dedicated her career to healthcare in Great Falls, beginning as a nurse and later serving in hospital administration. His father and grandfather also played an important role in the community by starting the first ambulance service in Great Falls. Their example shaped his appreciation for the importance of strong local healthcare systems and the impact they have on families and communities across Montana.​

 

Darryl is especially passionate about expanding access to excellent care within the Helena area. He believes continued investment in local healthcare services is essential to ensuring patients and families can access the care they need close to home.
